November 1 Barcelona

I woke up to pouring rain! So I had breakfast and decided to head off to airport. Caught a taxi to train station and waited for 30 minutes for the 30 minute ride. Good thing I left early as the Casablanca airport is chaos! There was a line up to get in from the train station. 1 x--ray/security screener. Of course no queue, just a mass of people all pushing to get to the front!
Then I got lost trying to find the place to check- in. Once I found it this again was chaos. No queue. That took forever!
Then off to the security! Well this was crazier! A huge mass of people pushing to the front, and 1 screener, and then found out that at the wrong entry. Turns out I could have lined up at Terminal 2 and here at least there was a queue, but still very slow. Then at passport control the guy kept entering my name. No sure what it was but it took a few tries. Funny as I met a guy from Mexico in the line up for Terminal 1 and he had the same problem, except they took him into a separate room. They did not ask questions just kept entering his name.
All that took about 3 hours.
ON arrival at Barcelona, turns out my luggage got tagged for Malta, so I am traveling very light, just my backpack. The hotel had a mall next door so I was able to buy toothpaste and deodorant.

October 31 Casablanca

Relaxing day today, but I did head off to the Mahkama du pacha, the court house but ended up in front of the Royal Palace instead! Another huge complex with a very high wall around. The area around is guarded by police but this time I could walk up to the main entrance and I did not have to leave my passport. Pictures were ok, and as I got ready to take a picture of the front gate, the guards stepped aside!

Then I headed off for the Mahkama du pacha. I ended up in a walled area that was very similar to a new medina. Lots of shops in some great arches. The court house was just around the corner. The guard at the front said I got 5 minutes to go inside. I did not have a guide. Oh well I did get to wander around. Wow, what a place. It is huge with very detailed carvings on walls and ceilings. There were 2 large court years that I saw. A beautiful building.
That was it for the day.

October 30 Casablanca Morocco

I just had coffee at the usual place and then breakfast and then I headed off to the train station. A 20 minute walk and a 30 minute wait and I was on the train to Casablanca. It only took an hour and I made sure that I got off at the right station!

I walked to the hotel, all of 30 minutes. Good thing I have GPS on tablet as it was not to hard to find.
Once I checked in I headed off to catch the tram to the beach and then the 30 minute walk to the Morocco Mall. I was going to see the large aquarium in the mall. I guess you need to have a hook. It is quite large with even an elevator in the middle. Very nice. They also have a fountain show so I found a coffee shop and waited. The show was to be every 30 minutes but I did not see it. I headed back to hotel.
Found a snack place for dinner and that used up all the day!
