March 9, La Paz, Bolivia

Relaxing day and did not do much other than plan the next few days.

March 8, La Paz, Bolivia

Out of the hotel by about 8.30 for a flight to La Paz. But the flight was delayed and then canceled! The guide arranged for another flight but with a stop over in Cochabamba, a city about half way between Sucre and La Paz. But here out flight was delayed again! We ended up in La Paz by about 6.30 pm. It had taken us about 8 hours for a 1 hour flight! A long day. Out for dinner.

March 7, Sucre, Bolivia

Up early to catch van for a 2 1/2 hour drive out of the city. This was a wild ride as it was up and over a mountain pass on a very narrow and windy road! Beautiful views.

Then out of the van and start to hike. This is the bottom of the Maragua crater. Interest shape to this especially since it is not a volcanic crater. Apparently it was created by tectonic activity and then broke open by water. After a 2 hour hike we arrived at the dino foot prints, made probably 63 million years ago. Amazing that they are still showing. And they are huge. There is 3 different tracks, but only 2 are really distinct. A 2 hour hike (for a total of 9 km) back to the van and then back to the city. A long day but well worth it.

Happy hour in hotel before heading out for dinner. Such a great group of people.
